This position will manage internal and external resources for the delivery of the Datacenter building, power, cooling, telecom, and controls infrastructure to align with Microsoft Corporation datacenter capacity roadmap for the Americas. The Datacenter Design Manager will be responsible for the facilitation and delivery of Microsoft’s industry-leading datacenter designs including the development of innovative technology and advanced concepts from Site Due Diligence through design development, permitting, construction, and the turnover to Operations. This role will:
Provide design management, technical direction, decision-making and overall leadership for our datacenter designs.
Oversee the delivery of multiple, concurrent, complete Datacenter design solutions aligned with the scopes, schedules, and budgets of the projects.
Engage with key MS stakeholder groups within Microsoft as well as outside vendors who specialize in datacenter architecture and engineering.

QualificationsRequired / Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
OR equivalent experience.
3+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional or preferred qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering
Registered / Chartered Engineer or Architect
Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, equipment and/or construction for mission critical or high-tech industry.
Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
